Why Amazon returns end up on pallets
Amazon’s returns volume is enormous, and individually inspecting, re-listing and re-shipping every returned item costs more than it is worth. So returns, overstock and undeliverable stock are consolidated and sold in bulk to liquidators. Those lots get palletised and resold to businesses and resellers — which is where you come in.
What’s inside an Amazon return pallet?
It depends on the lot. Electronics-focused pallets carry headphones, smart-home gear, accessories and small gadgets; general merchandise lots span home, kitchen, toys and more. Condition is mixed by nature: some items are unopened change-of-mind returns, others have damaged packaging, and a portion will be faulty. That mix is priced in — it is why the per-item cost is far below retail.

Experienced Amazon-pallet resellers plan around a spread: a portion of items resell near retail, most sell at a discount, and some are parts/repair or unsellable. The money is made by sorting fast, testing electronics, photographing well and listing consistently on eBay and Facebook Marketplace. Treat the first pallet as paid education — track every item’s sale price and you will know exactly what the second pallet is worth to you.
